1) What is property management? 

Answer: Highland Properties is employed by various property owners to manage and maintain properties on their behalf.  We screen tenants, deal with maintenance issues and we even take care of all the financials.

2) What are the hours of operation?

Answer:
- We are open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm and Saturdays from 9:00am to 4:00pm
- 24 hours a day seven days a week we have on call service available for emergencies.

3) What is available for rent?

Answer: Highland Property has a wide variety of properties such as bachelor suites, 1 & 2 bedroom apartments, condo's, houses, duplex's, four plex's and manufactured homes.

4) Are pets a problem when trying to rent?

Answer: We do have rentals which allow pets. Often a pet deposit is required.

5) Laundry facilities?

Answer: All apartment rentals have laundry facilities either on the main floor or a laundry room on each floor. Most individual units come equipped with washer and dryer, or washer and dryer hookups.

6) Who do I pay rent to?

Answer: Highland Property collects rent on behalf of the owners.

7) Where would I find a list of all new rentals?

Answer: We advertise all new listings in the Kootenay Advertiser and the Daily Townsman. We also have all new listings available in our office and on our website.

8) How would I give notice to vacate?

Answer: One full month's written notice must be given to Highland Property Management Ltd. on or before the end of the month for the end of the following month.

9) When is rent due on properties?

Answer: Rent is due on or before the 1st of every month.
